Creating and Managing Your Services
In Calpace, "Services" are the bookable appointments you offer to your clients. Each service can have its own unique settings, such as duration, price, location, and booking rules. This guide will walk you through how to create a new service from your dashboard.
Step 1: Navigate to the Services Menu
From your main dashboard, locate the left-hand navigation menu. Click on the Services tab to open the services management page.
If you haven't created any services yet, you'll see a message prompting you to create your first one.

Step 2: Add a New Service
To create a new service, click the purple + New Service button located at the top-right of the services page. This will open the "Create New Service" window.

Step 3: Configure Your Service Details
This form is where you'll define all the specific details and rules for your new service. Let's break it down into sections.
Basic Information
This section covers the core details your customers will see.
- Service Name: (Required) A clear, descriptive name for your service (e.g., "60 Minute Strategy Session).
- Duration: Set how long the appointment will last.
- Description: (Required) Provide details about what the service includes. This helps clients understand what they are booking.
- Location: Specify where the meeting or appointment will take place. You have several options:
- Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams: If you have integrated these video conferencing tools, selecting one will automatically generate a unique meeting link when a booking is made.
- Phone Call: This option indicates the meeting will be held over the phone. You can then arrange to call the client or have them call you.
- In Person: For face-to-face appointments. You can specify the address in the description or a custom field.
- Custom: This allows you to enter any other type of location, such as a physical address, a different video conference link, or specific instructions.
- Color: Assign a color to this service for easy identification on your internal calendar.
Booking Settings
Here, you can define the rules and automation for how clients can book this service.
- Service Active: Keep this toggled on to make the service available for booking.
- Show on Public Booking Page: Toggle this on to display the service on your main booking page. You might turn this off for private services.
- Buffer Time: Set extra time before or after an appointment. This is useful for preparation, cleanup, or travel, and prevents back-to-back bookings.
- Requires Confirmation: If enabled, you must manually approve every booking for this service. If disabled, bookings are confirmed automatically.
- Allow Rescheduling: Allow clients to reschedule their appointments themselves.
- Allow Cancellation: Allow clients to cancel their appointments themselves.
- Minimum Notice: Set the minimum amount of time before an appointment that a client is allowed to book or cancel (e.g., at least 1 hour in advance).
Schedule
Define the date range for which this service is available.
- Start Date / End Date: Set a specific period when this service can be booked. Leave this blank for an ongoing, evergreen service.
- Recurring Service: Toggle this on if the service repeats on a regular basis.
Step 4: Create Your Service
Once you have configured all the details to your satisfaction, click the Create button at the bottom of the window.
Your new service is now created and, if you enabled it, will be visible on your public booking page for clients to schedule. You can return to the Services menu at any time to edit, duplicate, or delete a service.
